Friend of mine going through MEM this evening got stuck due to numerous cancellations due to lack of crews. He mentioned ATL, EWR, and TLH. Has anyone heard about this today?

TLH would be a Pinnacle flight. They are extremely short staffed... losing 1-2 guys a day.

NWA has been cancelling about 100 flights a month for crew shortage for the good part of the last couple of years. Running the ship a little thin over there to save $$$.

the hole in the ship is getting larger...the last few years they would never match fare hikes and once again they did it a month ago. When are they ever going to learn? even swa raises fares..

You must be senior, Smarta$$. I was around 480 when I left and had moved up quite a bit before that.

Most of the people I knew of that were leaving were around 400 and junior.

Challenge. ;)

Whoa, 1-2 per day? Realistic numbers of 30-60 per month leaving PNCL?

<-------- Is this clown causing more problems?

How about recruitment? How many classes have they got going? I read on a willflyforfood gouge that PNCL was looking at trying to hire 500 pilots this year. Is that too high, reasonable, or wishful thinking?

It's been 1-2 per day so far this month from what I've been told.

What do I know? I'm just a caveman.

Then you gave us walking upright, discovering fire, inventing the wheel, and laying the foundations for mankind!

I guess hiring the rest of the year will depend on what NWA does about their provision for removing 3 CRJs per month, up to 15 total if a pilot contract isn't reached by end of March.

I hope they do, they need to catch up on staffing
