I have heard rumor that now that NWA management is "negotiating" or what they claim as negotiating out side of court with NWA ALPA. Durring this negotiations process did they reintroduce another NEWCO spin off company after dropping the other one in court? Any thoughts on what is going to happen there?

I work for Pinnacle our management is trying to convince us that NWA ALPA wants us to take a pay cut too, but I cannot believe that mainline pilots would want regional pilots to become an even bigger financial outsourcing option. If Anything I think that you guys would want the bar to get raised for us little guys so that they will not outsource to us. I dont want mainline to lose anymore mainline jobs, I want a good job to go to evenutally, although that seems to be fading more and more these days. What can we do to help? I would rather shut the thing down then give up a single penny.

The rumor is true, however, NWA pilots are still holding firm.

You are wise beyond your years OMG. You are the only regional guy I have read that seems to have a grip on the situation. Usally it's "give us all the flying and to he!! with the majors - they got what they deserve!" If the majors don't survive - neither do the regionals.

The Judge recessed ALPA & Mgmt to try & work something out. Mgmt's latest proposal is NEWCO 2; NWA buys 95 seventy six seat aircraft....to be flown by somene other thn NWA pilots. SSDD.

Your Mgmt is incorrect. We have our hands full trying not to have our contract thrown out, a new one imposed, and a possible strike and liquidation.

If you take the ALPA portion out of his statement, hence leaving motha NWA, he probably has a correct statement. NWA has told XJ that we need to lower our overall costs to retain our flying....

I think most "regional" guys feel this way...I know of very few people that want flying to come down from the majors so all the regionals can bite and scratch to see how low the pay can go just so they can get more flying.
