Just curious what you mainline guys/gals think of Compass? I am not associated with any NWA carrier, i.e, mesaba, etc and was wondering if getting hired at Compass would hurt any chances of getting hired at mainline someday??

No flame, just curious what your thoughts are of it. Thanks...

Only go there if you live in the domicile, other than that, I can't understand why anyone would want a red tail behind them.

I work for eagle, based out of ORD but live in MSP. Commuting sucks. I would love to drive to work. I am not sure about this Compass thing though. It sounds like they will be based here in MSP but just not sure about the stability of the company and all. If anyone has anyother information, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Heyas,

Cons:
Must live in base, and bases in not-so-hot places
Potential stepstool for mainline furloughees (which will come in on top).
Average regional working conditions...and that's not saying much.
1 year training agreement

Pros:
I heard they are hard up for people, so advancement might be pretty quick
New AC (although I understand they can cure SJS with just a pill now)

Pro/Con:
Flow up to the mainline....when the mainline is NW...

Where did you here that you must live in base.
Never heard of an airline requiring that.

i bet it will not even become a reality. I mean at the rate they are hiring, it will be years before they start flying. I think they will just use another airline to get it going.
