$hit happens..... TOL is a standard alternate for DTW, with the winds as bad as they are and the usual slowdowns coming into DTW, stopping for gas can happen from time to time.

Okay, I just read that thread at Airliners.net.......

That has to be the biggest collection of morons I have ever seen.

I personally like where one guy goes into his "detailed" analysis of what he thinks happened.

Morons, please get back on your bus......

just yesterday on an airliners.net forum there was a NW ramper on there saying how he over-fuels all of his planes, even if the captain doesnt order extra fuel. He said he usually puts an extra 1000 lbs of unordered fuel onboard without the PIC's discresion.
I had to read that post a couple of times to figure out if he was serious or not, i really think he was.
what an idiot.

also, it seems that the CRJ-200 gets confused with the F100 somewhat often on that board. huh????

there tends to be alot of useless fighting on this board but ive seen some very stange posts on airliners.net

I don't believe NW Rampers fuel their Aircraft. It used to be Signature. And 1000 lbs? Those Flight Releases would not make much sense.

OK canyon blue, since you dont beleive it, here is his actual quote.

"I as a refueler normally put alittle extra on (i do alot of CRJ's and put about an extra 100 pounds or so on.) with a bigger jet ill give them alittle more. Such as a 747 ill give him about 1000 pounds more then expected. The reason being is most of the time the pilots like it and in cases like this. However maybe they had alot of weight and couldnt fully load the plane to is max fuel limit. Comming from Mexico city im sure it had alot of cargo. Not to mention like a few others have the weather was a facter so they had to do alittle more flying around then expected. Atleast it didnt end up like the AC 767".

you can read it yourself on airliners.net under the "NWA fuel emergency" thread. its there plain as day on the 2nd page, and there are many pilots ripping this guy to shreds over this quote.

See ya!
