We're doing NYC one day...

aquarium, maritime museum...
or you can run up to Bridgeport - thats a great city. :smash:

actually, train to NYC and spend your time there..best bet.

have fun

screw nyc take the train to Providence or beantown.

Bunch of muggers and thieves in NYC

Hey I was born in Bridgeport, of course its a great city!

Providence has lots of good looking girls. Especially down town.
Beantown is a waste. The girls are stuck up.
The city is cool. If you are in Norwalk, you can go see Martha's house, she's over in Westport.
go down to the marina, hang out with the boaters, go sailing.

Go to the beach. Long Island Sound should smell nice this time of year!

Seriously though, I was born and raised in that area and I hated it so much I would never go back. Best advice, take some sedatives and sleep till it's time to go.

NYC and B-town can be cool if you happen to be independently wealthy.

Providence on the other hand is a hole!! Not sure what these other guys are talking about.

:puke:

Okay, I don't know what part of Providence you were in, and I admit it was a while ago, but downtown was very nice. Full of cool little cafe's, pretty girls.

NYC is cool. You can take the train, Metro North, and you can walk around the town for not much money. Lunch will not be inexpensive, taxi's are not inexpensive, people are helpful, subway is cheap.
Hey, JumpCaptain, MalmsteenFan, joelo88, all you guys from the area? I lived in Litchfield for a long time, and Niantic after that for about 5 years.

It was cool to go into the City.

Yeah, born and raised in Greenwich. :puke:

...but I'm happily transplanted in the midwest.

I'm in the midwest, also. Best move I could have done.

If you want to eat some good italian, shop at one of the biggest malls in the country, go to IMAX, Dave and Busters, Waterplace park, ride a Gondola, etc.... Providence is the place.

Oh, and did I mention good looking women? I did, didn't I? If I didn't, let me mention it here and now. There are some fine looking women. Oh, wait, are you one? Maybe there's good looking guys too. I don't know, I ain't one of those brokebackmountain folks.

Which mall are you talking about??? The malls in Providence are pathetic!

GHS? I was in Clark House (many moons ago-if they still had those 4 houses if and when you were there). Now living in good old midwest too!

Pats bar

I used to hang out in Providence while visiting a chick at Johnson & Wales. We used to drink (underage) at this tiny hole in the wall called Pat's. Anybody know if it's still there?

Other than that I would vote for Boston.

Boston over NYC??????? are you guys crazy? Boston at best is 1/10th the city that NYC is. Brooklyn has the best italian food this side of the atlantic.

What about Meriden, CT? I'm going in July for training......Can an Okie have a good time and not go to jail up that way?

Meridan?!? What company in their right mind would send you to Meridan for anything? Off yourself now.

Sorry, but there's not much there. Best bet would be to go into Hartford but even that's not that great. Best places to eat would be City Steam brewhouse and Black Eyed Sally's.
