Northwest DC-10's

Does anyone know if Omni recently acquired a number of DC-10's from Northwest?

My understanding is NWA will keep them. Talked to a friend over at NWA, he said they were paying roughly $350,000 a month on the leases. NWA was trying to negotiate a cheaper deal, when it couldn't be reached NWA said "take them". The lessors then offered a lease at $1000 a day. 30k a month. I think you will see the DC-10 around a little longer.

no, they own most of the DC-9's

They used to with the -9's... They are now all collateralized (sp)....
