Now hiring onto both the X and XL out of BWI. Why so much attrition with this flight department? It's crazy - I see this ad over and over again. You would think they would learn with so many people departing... Any thoughts? What's the deal?

INFO ON NG Baltimore??

Aren't there any NG pilots who visit this forum?

All the info about NG on the site seems old. Is there anyone out there with information less than one year old about their ops out of BWI?

Is attrition so high there because the job sucks or because pilots are being hired by Southwest?

Kind of answered your own question...if the job was a good corp gig why would anyone leave it to do the cattle hauler thing? Less money and a hat? No thanks, a tier 1 freight hauler maybe, but SWA? No way.

The big head scratcher is that starting pay is $75k, yet they can't hold on to anyone. Must be the Big cheese and his unibrow side kick that drive everyone away. Guess the Pro Pilot Mag. Flight Dept of the year really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Oh and if you pass out at the controls while you are the PIC, don't sweat it...the NTSB or FAA will never find out.

OK, now we're starting to get somewhere.

Is that $75k a starting salary for crews at BWI? That's not bad, but probably not enough to keep someone for ever in the DC area, especially if there are major problems with life style or whatever else.

Modecontrol, are the big cheese and unibrow boy
located at BWI or what? Thanks for that bit of info.

Isn't there a single person out there who has worked for NG and has enough time to waste it visiting FI?

Sorry to bring up an old thread...but I was curious if NGC still had their flight department in BWI. I just saw an ad for a Dulles operation. Just curious if this is new or did they relocate? Also, is J. Miller still the guy running the show?
