I was wondering if anyone could update me on hiring at North Ameican. Are they hiring at all? And if so, where do I write/call/connect?

Yes, this means I got my furlough letter from Hawaiian too, %*#!@& it!.

N.A.

THE NORTH AMERICAN RECRUITER WAS AT LAX JOB FAIR. SAID THEY HAD NO PLANS TO HIRE, BUT SINCE NOV. HIRED 22 PILOTS. HIGH TIME ( 7000 ) GUYS AND HAD 757 TIME

Sorry to hear about the letter.
I haven't heard anything lately about hiring, but I did hear that we hired somone with about 3000 hrs. He has 757/767 time, which is the big requirement.
Some people I know went their resumes through the North American website. http://www.northamair.com/
I would send it in anyway. There's so much flying to be done and alot of retirements on the way. I heard that we picked up another 757 and a 767 is on the way. The 767 is a questionable rumor.
You can fly alot and make good money if you want (alot of us first year FOs billed out 9 to 11 grand in April), or you can kick back and get rusty with 20-22 days off. You'll also see every nook and cranny of the world and have a great time.
