Anyone have a list (or a copy) of the approach plates for Norfolk NAS (Chambers Field). They're not included in the NOS Charts, and the Jepp versions are pretty pricey for one flight. Any help is appreciated.

Look for a store that has the DOD plate book. Same format as NOS pretty much. Each book covers pretty big area and cost is about the same as NOS. Dulles Aviaton at HEF has them you can call em at 703 361 2171 and see if they are in stock.

Exactly what I needed to know - Thank you!

If my memory serves me right, the only instrument approach into NAF Norfolk is the PAR. It's been a few months since I was last in there, but that's what remember.

Pondscum is right, only approach unless you have a TACAN is the PAR. It can get you down to 200 and somethink. Be cautious when the rookie PAR tells you are right of course and tells you to turn further right to correct.

I used to fly in there weekly. Just take the PAR, no chart needed. If the wx is low its really cool when you pop out and a carrier is right there infront of you. I once saw an E-2 run off the end of the runway there.

Have fun.
