Non Flying Air Guard TDYs

For you Air Force Guard types,

How do you find out about non-flying TDYs.

We hear about ours through the Guard Bureau. This are people making calls to them to see where they can be used or "urgent" email requests for volunteers for various positions. Being a tanker unit, most of our requests are to go to TACC or AMC, with a couple to work at the Guard Bureau itself. I've seen taskings for 30 days up to 179 days.

Non-flying

The 152 Air Operations Group in Syracuse is a non-flying unit that has an airspace command and control mission. The cool thing about this unit is that you get flight pay (if rated) and they really only require the standard 1 weekend a month, 2 weeks a year mantra. If you want more, you can get it.
