Benny Baldanza (Spirit's CEO) is doing everything he can to make Spirit the bottom of the barrel among low-cost airlines. How can Spirit compete against JB on the East Coast on competing routes when JB offers more comfortable seats and IFE? Will the airfares be that much lower than those of competing carriers on the commodity NY-FL routes? Doubt it. Southwest will be considered "premium" when compared to Spirit in the near future...
