The first time I took my ex girlfirend up flying:

"but where are the parachutes?"

"Oh don't worry the seat cushion doubles as a parachute. If anything goes wrong we'll just bail out."

"Oh, like in Top Gun?"

"Yea.....like Top Gun"

You can always count on the folks here to help keep you in line! What a, uhh, nice group of people!! Yeah... that's the ticket!

To the statements about the size of the aircraft simply reply with a smile and a southern accent, "Bigger than your broomstick b@#ch."

Also, all of you need to remember, there are no stupid questions just stupid people.

i took a friend up once on his first flight in a small airplane. he gets in and i give him the briefing not to pull on anything or hit the pedals on the floor. here's the conversation:

Me: just watch your feet, keep them off the pedals down there.
Him: Ok, i'll watch it, you know, i never knew airplanes had a gas and brake pedal just like a car, i can understand the gas part, but whats the brake do in the air?
Me: thats just our air brake, we need it to land...

for some reason i've always found people really confused by the rudder pedals, in a second episode i was flying another passenger, while in the air they asked what the pedals on the floor did:

Her: whats those pedals do down there?
Me: honestly, i'm not sure, but i give them a kick from time to time just to make sure they're still there...

Prior to starting a King Air, with a passenger riding in the right seat. The brakes were a little spongy, so I pump them a few times before pulling the parking brake and crank the right. Without batting an eye, the passenger pipes up "You have to pump these little planes to start them?"

I'm also dying to get my hands on one of those holding pattern entry figuring out thingys. The traffic pattern entry figuring out thingy would also make my life so much easier.

Upon landing at ORD, a passenger came to the cockpit with a question. It was snowing heavily in Lansing when we took off and the runway was snow covered.

Pax: "How'd you guys get so much traction back there...? We took off like a banshee"

I haven't flown a Brasilia in a while but I don't remember there being any transmission linkage between the accessory gearboxes and the wheels...hmm.
