Cowboy -

Your comment about out-of-seniority - wouldn't have Judge Wake issued an injunction that all future furloughs would be according to the Nic if your statement were true?

Metrojet

It is true we have a seniority list accepted by the company and upheld in court. No appeal has overturned the Nic Award, therefore it stands. I've been putting my money and time to uphold binding arbitration both sides agreed to honor.

Soon, the appeals will be exhausted and the delay tactics will end.

.....The $50,000 question is??? Will you still have an airline to fly for? At the rate things are going, the #1 guy will sign the release and the #2 guy will swing gear for him.. Are you senior enough?
Its pathetic and quite discomforting when "professionals" argue over such a worthless entity... Good luck to all!!

Question: What does a usair pilot say on his retirement flight?
Answer: "Captain, can I please fly the last leg?"

Wrong, that phrase has not been heard around here for along time. Since the age change not one old fart has left without dying.

Oh, not the right way....

Wrong, GEN X and GEN Y did not give it away, but for the majors to "take it back" will cost way too much for everybody, even the regionals.
The only way to "take it back" would be to undercut the regionals, and not just the current ones, but all that are providing lift at a current contract, otherwise, why would the company "give it back"?

The only way for our generation to fix this is bring up the regional pay no near mainline rates, so close that it hardly makes sense to outsource.
To do this, we need an association that enforces what the minimum is to be a professional pilot, hold out carrots and rewards for those companies and pilots who participate, and do everything that is legally possible to make it difficult for companies who don't want to pay a livable, regional pilot wage.
