During reservation system changeover no Jumpseating on JBLU JAN 30- Feb 1.

No JetBlue standbys (Jan 30 - Feb 1)-- (JBLU Commuters with be given free positive space travel).

OAL pass-riders not allowed from JAN 28 - FEB 20

Consider it a favor as I'll be staying far away during that weekend!

exellent!!! I guess they (JB) will loose CASS for that time also!!!

Flt Ops is verifying exactly what is going to be going on with the issue of jumpseating. CASS will still be available from what I understand and should not be affected by the change over. The actual jumpseats should, repeat, should still be available. They will know something fairly soon so let's not get hammered yet. The issue is not being able to list as a non-rev in the system while they do the change over.

No, it appears to be true from the company email.

We're switching over to Sabre, and the OAL limitation is an attempt to unstress the system during the cutover.

Why Sabre?

We currently use an in-house system developed by Neeleman that is incompatible with OA CRS's, so no interlining bags, sending pax to OAs during IRROPS, etc. Trying to grow up and play with the big boys...

It also is another (albeit small) piece to a buy out or merger....

Larger Share of NYC market
Aligned with LH

Only if you're the gay lover of one of our "inflights"....

Email says our Values committee is working with the Chief Pilots's office to try to find a work-around for OA jumpseats. Hopefully we'll get something worked out before the end of the month.

OAL Jumpseaters will be allowed

Rather than embargo OAL jumpseaters (commuting pilots and flight attendants), we have decided to issue a clear warning to OAL jumpseat desks, advising OAL pilots and flight attendants not to rely on JetBlue during the cutover period (Jan. 30 – Feb. 1) for their travel needs.

We changed this policy because an embargo would actually endanger JetBlue Pilots and Inflight Crewmembers’ ability to jumpseat on other airlines. While other airlines routinely embargo leisure pass travel, no airline has ever (to our knowledge) embargoed jumpseat travel, for any reason. We’ve worked too hard to get reciprocal agreements with OALs to improve the quality of life for our uniformed flight Crewmembers (thank you, Jumpseat Committees!) to endanger it for what would be little value (a 3 day embargo).
The information below has been updated to reflect this change in policy. This does mean that OAL uniformed crew will be able to travel on JetBlue while JetBlue Crewmembers and OAL employees cannot travel for leisure (although we are providing positive space travel for JetBlue commuters), but considering the potential consequences, we thought this was the best way to go.

Just got a note saying that JetBlue has embargoed the J/S until the 20th of February??? Any truth to this? I called Crew Support at JetBlue and they had conflicting answers... Was planning on using JB to J/S next month. Any news?

Jumpseating is NOT embargoed. Passes are (for example if were a JB buddy-pass rider or if you bought a ZED fare on us). If you're jumpseating welcome aboard.
