4am... You are losing sleep over this one. My favorite is when you said. "You guys on ready reserve don't want dual qual. It means you will have to fly more on RR." I think most people on RR would rather be flying than be sitting doing nothing.

There are alot or Reserves that don't want to fly, but some do. Most of the posts on here sound like they don't want to fly.

You were so concerned with saving the company money with PBS. Now that saving the company money will affect you, all you do is wine about it.

PBS gives pilots control over their schedules. That's what I like about it. I am not "wineing" or whining. Look in the mirror aircombat. But I do want to protect my pay, don't you?

Dual qual won't affect my pay in a negative way. You didn't care that PBS requires less pilots meaning more stagnation. You don't think that the pilots who were close to upgrading were not affected. Or how about the pilots that would have been hired but are now still no the streets. You didn't care about that so give me one reason why I should care about your pay.

ASA is not the job core. It s a business focused on making a profit, not focused on hiring a s many pilots as possible. look across the industry, the highest paid pilots are at companies making a healthy profit. So who cares about employing more pilots just for the heck of it. In the long run it will mean less pay for each individual pilot. We got something in return for PBS we sure as hell can get something in return for Common Category flying

disagree.... I want to sit and do nothing (company related that is) I have plenty of stuff to bring with me and get done on the company dime... if i don't get an assignment then I go home at 2pm... if I do get an assignment I usually go home after 7pm... you tell me what sounds better?

I didn't say ALL people. We have a lot that commute or live far from the airport and don't like doing nothing when they are called in.

He has a very valid point about upgrades though. You can't argue that. It'll take that much more time to upgrade now that there are less need to for captains, especially at ASA where the reduced number of captains means there is a larger percent of them that are lifers and not planning on going anywhere. You know have less captains but the same amount of them that are lifers. So you only have 50% of captain spots that have attrition instead of 60% (just making up numbers as an illustration of the point).
