Ok, that's not even funny. I only have 140 or so that are junior to me at NJ. I have a wife and a 4 year old daughter and a mortgage and I left a very stable flying job (flying air ambulance under a program that has been around for 25 years) to come here.
How about we all think positive? As much as I wish we would hire hundreds next year let's just all hope that the very worst that would happen is there would be no hiring.
You forgot Pelosi. These dems, i.e Obama, were principally responsible for shoving through their ideology that everyone has a right to own a house, no matter their income or the cost of the house. Now, the rest of us are on the hook to bail these people out. Fractional owners across the industry are selling shares back at unprecedented levels (remember, minimum contract terms are just 2 years, not 5 like most believe.) It will only get worse. There may not be furloughs, but the growth in the near future (1-2 years) will be flat at best.Spew the stupidity there bud. Carter, Clinton, Dodd, O, and Barney Frank delivered the banking crisis to your doorstep. If you are going to be stupid at least do it in private.
I would not let the talk of a few get you thinking about a furlough. This company is looking down the road and is going to be in position when the economy goes back up. Worry now about your 4 year old daughter and that she is soon to be in kindergarten and how much you have seen her grow up lately. Get a sitter and take your wife out for a nice dinner and a movie. Don't let this stress get into your family life. Also you can worry about how the season will end for Auburn.

I thought we were supposed to share our experiences for the greater good of the "brother hood". There is no such thing as sure thing, to say that DAL, or UAL, or anyone else would have cut backs in 2000 would have probably meet with the same sense of non-reality. To say NJ is immune to the plight of the US economy may be incorrect. As I have said I hope it does not happen, but you have to look at the reality of the US. In the future if BO gets elected, the rich will be punished. Rich people make NJ what it is. In past NJ has had a steady turnover, but in the last 12 months it has become career destination. The steady turnover precluded any need to force downsizing because it happened automatically. BTW I have many friends that work, I wish them nothing but the best.I kinda wish somebody would just take Randy(pilotyip), like, away....................
