According to the FO bids just posted, the Hawker 800XPC is getting the most newhires.
Not per leg it doesn't:laugh:The Excel pays more!![]()
Which A/C receive the $225 differences pay? How easy is it to extend yourself an extra day to make a little more $$$
Go for the money! That = Quality of life. I have to work 4 or 5 extended days / yr in the Falcon to make as much as an XL pilot.OK, so here is a classic question for Netjets newhires who might have a choice. Is it better to aim for the XL/XLS where you will make more money per month or is it better to aim for a more comfy cockpit (say G200 if you actually had the choice) because you will be an FO for several years and you might as well have more room up front? That being said, you will probably fly longer flight segments in the G200 because of its range which would contribute to less comfort - XL/XLS will fly shorter hops. So many considerations...
The contract requires differences pay for pilots current on two models of aircraft. The only way the differences pay could go away is if the fleets were split and operated individually (very unlikely at this time), or all the XLs were retired (that'll be a while).
What will likely happen is that we start taking deliveries of the XLS+, which has Collins Proline 21 avionics. All rumors point to that model being operated as a separate fleet, and since its pilots would be qualified on just a single model, there wouldn't be any differences pay.
Because of the Holiday pay and overtime... multiply the payscales by 110%. I think you can do that by doing what I do. I try to work all the holidays except Christmas and Thanksgiving because I don't care about any of the others.Listening (reading) to you all talk on here, I wonder if the payscales on APC are accurate. Thanks.
Yeah, but how many owners actually fly ON holidays? Wouldn't the highest flying be the days prior and after the actual holidays?Because of the Holiday pay and overtime... multiply the payscales by 110%. I think you can do that by doing what I do. I try to work all the holidays except Christmas and Thanksgiving because I don't care about any of the others.
Holidays pay an extra 1.5 normal days pay. I think NJ pretty much guaranteed they won't be short crews on holidays with this policy.
Remember -- One Selloff = a couple of dozen Holiday pays.
And how much better is it to have people volunteer to fly the holiday happy than to have a crew bummed out because they are getting screwed with working the holiday -- AGAIN!
