I didn't know my virginity was common knowledge...

You would have to have a set of balls to not be a virgin:beer:

sorry couldn't resist

And to make it clear, yes I would tell that to your face, over on NJASAP or anywhere else non-anonymous...just so ya know:D

No problem. The only reason I only post on an anonymous board is that some of my more enthusiastic union colleagues are senior to me, and I don't want to spend 14 hours in an unpleasant cockpit. I have had enough stress in my life, thank you very much. :-)

you proved Bent Overs point then

Unfortunately the last couple years have made me much more confrontational. I personally don't care if someone is senior or not. It doesn't make them any more of a man because they got hired sooner. Does a computer geek at Microsoft hang seniority over the head of any one in the cubicle next to them??

Nor does a 4th stripe automatically give them more skills or aviation prowess....

I agree. However, I have lost my taste for confrontation. Conversation? Love it. Tension in the cockpit? Hate it.

I was always the passive one... I'd just nod my head even if someone said something completely retarded..

Unfortunately, or fortunately, now I don't care what others want to hear.. If they are an idiot, I'll tell them so. If it creates tension so be it.. I can easily spend 6 days not talking. One of the benefits of being an only child. My attitude now is, I don't care how long you've been here, don't ask me where I flew prior so you can judge my competancy, and definitely don't ask if I'm ok flying passengers, because if ya do I'll happily run the radios for a whole trip.

I am generally a pretty fun guy to fly with. Not a magician, and after a trip you would probably forget my name. (as I will forget yours). I still drink alot of beer, am a really good wing man for the single guys. And can make froends at any bar. But like Jack Nicholsen said in A Few Good Men, this heat is gettin to me.......

Hopefully I'll be so happy with a recall my mood will change. Only time will tell.

Which point did I prove? Also, I have flown here for 11 years, the same company as you, so I am not clueless. Because I disagree with you doesn't mean I am clueless about the facts. It means I disagree with your conclusions, with your solutions.

On this point I can understand what G4 is saying. There's no room in the cockpit for tension or confrontation.

Ran into a flight attendant friend two days ago. She told me that during a ferry flight last tour, her pilots were fighting, literally fighting, in the cockpit. She said she has never been so scared in the back of a jet before. I'm not sure what pro-stan mechanism is in place for an FA to report pilots but that kind of crap doesn't belong in a cockpit.

She should report it, period. You are right, this is disturbing.

Actually, you should report it.
