NJ April 16th Indoc

Any idea how long indoc is..I beleive it starts on Monday the 16th goes through Sat. and finished on Wednesday the 25th. Anyone know? Also.. my brothers wedding is on the 15th will nj fly me out of there (on the 15th) instead of my home for training.

They will not buy you a ticket from any where but your domicile. You are going to have to buy your own ticket to CMH.

I asked if I could drive to CMH for indoc. I live 2 1/2 hours away. I was told that its mandatory that I fly to training/indoc. So since they are flying me from my hometown to indoc in cmh, my base ..I was wondering will they fly me from orf to cmh.

This is outside the contract. From day 1 you should report to CMH since it is your domicile. In fact by not allowing you to drive might be against the contract. There is nothing saying that you have to fly out of your home town for indoc. According to the contract they should just have you report to CMH. I would think this also could be grieved by people senior to you since it a use of the HBA system by an inelidgeble pilot.

Any way just make sure they will airline you home on the company dime after indoc. In that case enjoy the free flight from home and back. You will get to drive to and from CMH enough in the future.

If you realy want to drive call the union and have them look into it. 13.2(b)(i). Or if you feel gutsy give training a call and quote them the contract and ask them where it says that you cant drive to your domicile for indoc. Ask them if they are setting a precident that you will airline to all training events in CMH in the future?

There were 3 people in my Indoc that chose CMH as their Domicile and they all drove. There was no problem with them getting the okay to drive. One lived 1 hour south of CMH, one in Rochester and the other guy was living in Atlanta. All had no problem, also they were reimbursed for their drive the amount it would have cost to airline them from where they lived to CMH. I would say that if you REALLY want your own car there, they will never know if you drove or airline to CMH. Unless you wanted to expense the drive. Personally, I don't know why you would want to drive yourself if they are willing to fly you. You know that you will have access to a rental car for training right?

The question is not if I mind driving or flying...I want to know will they fly me to indoc from a different city than I reside (live) in. If they would than I can attend my brothers wedding which is on the 15th april ...indoc starts the 16th. I live in WV, 2 1/2 hours away from cmh...the wedding is in Va Beach, Va. If they are going to fly me, than I rather fly out of Virginia Beach Va than WV, so I could attend the wedding. If I'm required to provide my transportation to cmh for indoc since thats my assigned base..then I need to know so I can buy an airline ticket...bro will not be happpy if I dont show.
