Would somebody please tell me what is the definition of "tool" as it is used here on this board?

Tool = worthless, dim-witted, dull piece of metal.

In usage on this board, it can refer to an installation just aft of one or both pilot's yokes, but more often refers to rusty equipment in the manager's office(s).
