It's time people started checing bags or be forced to hand them over at the jetway. They should be issued a grocery bag to place meds, small electronics and other such documents in.

Yes, a wonderful way to win over passengers at a time when the industry is struggling to stay afloat. How about we strip search everyone, issue orange jumpsuits and hundcuff them to their chairs as well. That is great customer service.

As someone else pointed out, a uniform policy among airlines and their regionals would go a long way. When you fly on one express carrier on a CRJ-200 and then connect with another express carrier and their CRJ-200 with very different policies, the airline is asking for trouble.
