Well, as of today, I am officially a hundred-hour wonderboy.

Also, I'm now technically a warbird pilot ;)

I came in to drill some holes in one of our Citabrias, but on a whim decided to get checked out in our Taylorcraft L-2. Afer 20-some-odd hours in the Citabrias I could definitely feel how much lighter the L-2 is. It's also in this plane that I have noticed the biggest difference in performance between dual and solo. Dual, my CFI calculated our climb rate to around 350-400 fpm, but solo I estimated we were getting around twice that. It also felt pretty cool lifting it off in a hair short of 300 feet of a takeoff roll (7 kt headwind)

Yup, and thanks :) I take it you're familiar with Amelia Reid Aviation?
