Next SWA New Hire Class?

I am swimmin like Phelps gasping for breath and looking at the finish line, but I haven't heard anything official about class dates!

Does anyone have a current new hire class schedule? There are quite a few people, like myself who are looking forward to going to class. If anyone has good info on the lineup for Sept or Oct, let us know.

One in Oct. of 20
Two in Nov. of 20 ea.
Two in Dec. one of 20 and one of 24.
(sorry I didn't write down the dates)

404 new hires for the year.

Interviews and hiring crank backup in Sept and will be going on for quite a while (hopefully).

I was told that we wouldn't hear from the PD until 4 weeks from the start of class, is that what you remember?
That means the first twenty should hear next week.(around the 25th of the month.)

The class dates mentioned above have been posted in the crew lounges. The memo was dated 4Aug04 so it's pretty up to date. Also in the past the words "tentative" was put on the title - this time it just said 04 Class Schedule. Hope it helps - hope to see you all soon! - Nerf

I interviewed 23 June and was given the thumbs up on 26 July. I am #100 in the SWA pool according to Kim at the People Department. So if TrumanSparks is correct on the number of people to be trained coming up it looks like the first December class for me - thanx.

Update on new hires...

2 assist. Chief Pilots in PHX informed us on Tuesday this week that we are going to have 3 classes in January -05 and at least 500 new pilots next year.

It is Sunday evening (22 Aug) and will have my phone on tomorrow. If there is a class like the post in your lounge says, then I will be having a staring contest with my phone for the next couple of days or until Kim calls! GET THE VISINE READY!!! I interviewed on May 6th and am hoping for the call soon!
