Next SWA DB

Folks-

I have heard that there may be 2 DB's in March, one as early as next week and the other towards the end of the month. Can anyone either confirm or debunk this rumor? I was a Feb 13th interview, just had references called today and they told the LOR writer (a SWA Check airman) to have me get all my online recs in ASAP. I thought I would have at least another week. I appreciate any info you all may have and of course wish the best of luck to everyone waiting! Cheers......

I interviewed Feb 12, and had heard one DB on March 13. But sooner would be fine with me, the wait sux.

Well I am glad I am not the only one that heard that about next week, although who really knows. I think all the check airmen and CP's are having a meeting this Friday in Dallas and I bet as a minimum we know a date after that?!? PRO, you are right, the wait is not fun as I am sure the many who have gone before us can attest to.

There have been at least two or three from my Feb 13th interview class that got a call from SWA that there wasn't time to check their references prior to the DB that was yesterday and were told that they will be considered on the board in early April. The calls should (85% probability) go out on Monday 12th. This is due to the the last CPDC meeting late in Feb and this CPDC meeting early in Mar.

Don't hang yourselves yet! Hang in there, no pun intended.

Calls started yesterday (Friday). I know people in my group got calls from MCO CP, MDW and Oakland as well. I think 4 o 5 from my group (myself included) that have goten the call thus far. Best of luck to everyone!, klr

Hey SWA guy- Would be glad to go in on a pool it almost being March madness, although I am sure you have the insider information on that one... For the rest, I did have my type in June 2006 from HPA. Am exstatic to be part of SWA later this year! Luck to everyone else, klr

Congrats Dude! I was hired in the Feb DB was told to expect the 25 Apr or 9 May class. From what I understand SWA needs guys in training ASAP. Having the type will work in your favor.

So are the calls all finished from the last DB? It doesn't seem like that many were selected if they are.

Don't know if they are finished or not, but it seemed like all the CP's or their ACP's were active on Friday calling. I have not heard (does not mean it is the case) anybody from my group get the letter (Feb 13th). I think if my count is correct 5/18 got the call, 2 or 3 got told they were being pushed to the April DB which leaves about 10 that might (hopefully not!) get the letter. That seems pretty much right in line with what they have done in the past. Best of Luck! klr
