Certainly to time to get out the business of flying airplanes. Like the job, hate how the business is conducted.

RJidiot said:As it stands now I can barely summon the strength to lift the mike and ask for fuel when we are already past departure time. Next step is radio silence.
IFLYASA said:It says it's a projected fleet plan. This could still be all smoke and mirrors as far as I'm concerned. Another little scare tactic. I really don't see the very profitable ATR being gone in 1 year. Didn't they say this last year? Maybe, maybe not. Regardless if this is a management threat, or the real deal, it's not going to influence 92% of our pilots here to settle for a subpar contract.

TOOL CRIB said:Bingo. There are way too many rumors and RFPs out there to believe that we are going to shrink. The biggest word in this letter, the one that should be highlighted, underlined and italicized is "CURRENT" fleet plan. Meaning- current today, the one we are going to tell you about and scare you into a subpar contract. Then all of a sudden, hey guess what, here's 50 more airplanes for you. This is all just part of the game.
I know all you doomsdayers will disagree with me. Go mope in your corner then.
CTS said:The way I look at it is, it's the people in the back that pay our salaries. Therefore, I will do everything in my power to take care of them and give them a safe, comfortable and on time flight. It is certinaly not their fault that the middle man (ASA) runs a poor operation. With out the people in the back, we would not fly. I know someone is going to say we are fee for departure, so I will go ahead and say that Delta is not going to pay for an empty flight very long.
However, I will NOT pick up open time or do the company any favors.
And, I will tell you where the union is... ALPA national justs wants our $$, better hope our elected reps do the right thing and give national the middle finger when necessary.
