Straight from Doug Parker this morning: The new livery is what it is because: Dark blue won't fly in the desert with the heat, Ability to change the image of the airplanes without having to change letterhead, gate signs, etc. and lastly the radomes and nacelles are going to be all one color for commonality. The scheme was designed "in house" so that they didnt have to pay anyone to develop it for them.

He seems like a decent guy, just give it time though till he screws over the employees and they all hate him too.
