Last time I check the only language required to fly international was English!!!!! Apperently these folks have made being bi-lingual a requirment to be considered for a pilot position. This is were I draw the line!!!!! Im calling my senator. It's bad enough I can't order a big mac anymore because I don't speak spanish ( and I live in michigan!!!!) now I have to conform and learn spanish to score a pilot job!!!! WTF!!!! Lets just rename our country The Unided States of Mexico.

Speaking of language... I went to Dunkin Dounuts and went through the drive-thru. I ordered a "hot tea with milk and sugar." I received a Pepsi!! WTF!!

It doesn't say being bilingual is a requirement for employment, just "Career opportunities."

Yeah it says bilingual preferred or something. Well we all now what that means. I have tons of experience flying in mexico thanks to nafta. I flew lears down there for the auto makers for years. I never had a problem with the controllers english. Now I fly all over the world and the the language does become an issue. Especially over Pakastain,Iran,India,China,Russia, just to name a few. Bi-lingual to fly in Mexico... What a joke!!!!!
