Hello,
It's unfortunate that Colgan isn't in a position to provide the service to the WV communities currently served by Regions Air. I think that in the future it might be a possibility, but as the Godfather mentioned we are light on both crews and aircraft to adequately serve the contract. Unfortunately, WV is getting a dose of "you-get-what-you-pay-for" with Regions. Not a slam on the pilots thee, but a failure of management.
I don't see Air Midwest getting back in the mix, but who knows? IAD a possibility, but it won't be on the Airways side...They can barely handle what they have going there now and have inadequate gate space. I don't t hink that UAL or CO-EX is going to entertain 19-seaters either. Unfortunately, Morgantown, Clarksburg and Parkersburg are going to suffer from the short-sightedness of their political leaders.
Personally, I think that Colgan made a mistake by not going after those contracts when they had a chance, but what do I know?...I just work here.
Regards,
