As Regions leaves these three cities to go out of business, just rememer that Calrksburg doesn't expect adequate air service, they demand exceptional air service. Apparently those cities which beg for EAS subsidies are in the position to make demands as well.

Hello,
It's unfortunate that Colgan isn't in a position to provide the service to the WV communities currently served by Regions Air. I think that in the future it might be a possibility, but as the Godfather mentioned we are light on both crews and aircraft to adequately serve the contract. Unfortunately, WV is getting a dose of "you-get-what-you-pay-for" with Regions. Not a slam on the pilots thee, but a failure of management.
I don't see Air Midwest getting back in the mix, but who knows? IAD a possibility, but it won't be on the Airways side...They can barely handle what they have going there now and have inadequate gate space. I don't t hink that UAL or CO-EX is going to entertain 19-seaters either. Unfortunately, Morgantown, Clarksburg and Parkersburg are going to suffer from the short-sightedness of their political leaders.
Personally, I think that Colgan made a mistake by not going after those contracts when they had a chance, but what do I know?...I just work here.

what a drag.... we cant have more west virginia people on our planes. nothing like a freak show to pass the day

I can't speak for the other cities, but I always enjoyed the folks we flew into Charleston. Friendly and polite; I'd take 19 people to CRW over 2 into HPN any day of the week.

Those Regions flights go almost empty....I think typically they have about 6-7 people on those flights....and 3 of them are crewmembers. What about bus service to W. Virginia? Do my taxes go to this garbage?
