Wow, more Cessna 402s flying from Cape Cod to the Islands. What an original idea! There's no way that can be profitable for $30 each way. I give them one summer.

I read a newpaper article that said they are charging 85 bucks each way and offering the 30 dollars tickets only when they have what typically would be a repo flight. Luck of the draw I guess? Cape air and Island air reposition aircraft empty all the time. They are just going to try and make some money on what typically is a complete loss. Here is a link to the article: http://www.nantucketindependent.com/news/2006/0301/Front_Page/003.html

I have a good friend who is their chief pilot. He said the loads have been great and just need more airplanes (and pilots). Sure wish the commute would be easier, otherwise it could be a good part time gig.

Way2Broke,
You heading back to the islands? Tell your woman I said hi. (I worked at a place with a CP we both didn't care for.)

Seeeeya!!!

I think what they ment to say is that it is a 10 place aircraft.
