.....

Ive had nothing but good encounters with the air wiskey guys, but please dont let it be them coming in now. All I can see is that leading to PDT being booted out. At least give me a year or so before i have to move again because of someone else coming in.

Uhhh, no really... it's Jetblue

Route expansion. After adding nine cities to its network in 2004, JetBlue eased back a bit last year by adding only three more. Austin came on line in January, giving the carrier 34 destinations. Roanoke, Va., and Bermuda will be added this spring, and the company expects to launch service to an additional five to seven unnamed cities later this year. But that rapid expansion brings high start-up costs, including outlays for marketing and advertising, airport rental and space remodeling.

i heard air wiskey

Air Whiskey already flies to Roanoke (In US Airways colors) and isn't what I would consider a "low cost carrier"...

I haven't heard anything about JB (or any new carrier) coming to town. JB has announced RICHMOND service starting March 31st...

Would be nice if either SWA, AirTran or JetBlue picked up ROA though... I hate having to drive to IAD or GSO or RDU for cheap airfares.

Who do you fly for in ROA?

Roanoke Regional Airport has apparently landed a low-cost carrier. Next week, officials are expected to announce that a new airline, offering non-stop service to Florida, is coming to town.
An airport spokesman would not name the airline, but confirmed that a news conference is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 10:00. While the newcomer is not Southwest or Jetblue, a source with knowledge of the announcement described the carrier as "a terrific airline with great deals," that serves "a popular leisure destination" in Florida.

I'd guess Airtran......

I would think Allegiant, if it were Airtran I would think that Atlanta service might be first, but "a" florida leisure destination says SFB and allegiant to me.
