Ok, quick question for you guys who have been logging time much longer than I have. With my newly minted instructor ticket I decided it was time to replace my old logbook with one that actually has a column for time "As flight instructor" (never thought I would make it that far when I bought the first one). Anywho, my question is, when switching to a new logbook is it standard practice to put all the times from my old logbook in the "Amt. Forwarded" line on page one. Or is it standard to start the new logbook from scratch and just add whatever was in the old logbook when I need to fill out totals. It seems I would forward the time so that the new one was most accurate, but I could be wrong. Obviously either is technically fine, just wanted to get a feel for if there is a standard practice.
Thanks,
cale
