How are things going with building the new TC? How much construction is already complete? What is the projected move in date? How many of each Sim?

Thanks in advance....

The Training Center is on schedule, even after the hurricanes. They've already installed the cabin trainer. There will initially be 6 simulators. 4 A-320 and 2 E-190. Later, we will get 2 more E-190 sims for a total of 8. All initial and recurrent training is going to take place in MCO. The first sim training is scheduled for May!! I heard also that they are exclusively looking for instructors that will be dedicated to the training center. Therefore, the days of service followed by a line number are probably gone... Additionally, the large blue LiveTV and maintenance hangar across Cargo Road is also on schedule, to be dedicated this summer.

Anyone know if it's is possible to get a instructor job at a training center such as the one mentioned with zero airline experience? I wouldn't mind teaching forever as long as the pay is better than what a normal cfi. I'd expect they airline instructors are getting around 6 figures. Anyone know for sure?

Got the call to interview for the sim instructor position. Start pay is $65K + profit sharing. Min 10 days off a month. Must live in MCO. No guarantee of pilot interview anymore. That's about all I know, looking for more info to help with decision.

Expect to have plenty of work....

New facility.... Lots of projects going on for the training program..

But sounds like they are slamming the door shut on the "guaranteed 2 year pilot interview".....

Too much false hopes, misplaced apsirations, heartburn and turnover it seems...

too bad though... pilot instructors are the best way to go imo...
