What would happen to a new hire in training if a strike were to commence?? Do you join the picket line while on probation?? Would the company fire You if you did so? What would the Union advise in this situation?
Update your resume and dont cross the line. Even if you do get fired it's better than being labeled a scab for the rest of your life
I think the MEC will advise you to go to work. Your offer to picket is appreciated but not necessary as it's all covered. The union can't protect your job the first year. Comair pilots understand your situation.
Got an interview coming up. seems like the news gets worse and worse. starting to wonder if it's even worth going.

So, if Mgmt and the union can reach a settlement than no one will be out of a job. If the pilots strike, new hires will be let go and Delta could possibly take away more flying = furloughes? Is that accurate?
Not exactly - Delta can still take away airplanes even if the company forces concessions on us, or we come to an agreement.
IF an agreement is reached, is that likely to happen, or is Delta waiting to see how this all shakes out before awarding/reducing anymore flying?

Yeah, I'm going to go. Comair has always been my number 1 choice. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't at least interview. I just hope everything works out. Not sure I really understand what all is going on. My understanding is that the airline is trying to force wage concesssions on the pilots.

You're kidding, right?

We understand.
No, I'm not kidding.
Out of 1800 pilots during the strike, 3 crossed the line. One ex management and almost retired, one already retired. I'm not sure it's useful to lecture Comair pilots on what constitutes a scab.
If management wants you to stand on your head during the first year, by all means, go stand on your head. We understand.
While your advice is quite admirable, taking it from a guy (rjdc supporter) like you is like taking peace advice from Al Qaeda

(We won't strike and nothing will be imposed. We will end up agreeing to some lame compromise. I have no reason to believe it won't play out like the FA's.)
