FDJ2 said:DAL won't have to drop ACA until the Airbus is on the property. Perhaps DAL will buy ACA once they get the Airbus, and merge it with Song. This would give Song the separate certificate it wants, this would solve the DoJet problem and if those Airbus orders can all be converted to A319 orders DAL would have the 100 seater it wants flying for a LCC at ACA rates. While the seniority lists would have to be merged, I'm sure there would be fences protecting pilots currently on the DAL list for bidding anything other than the Airbus and DoJet and protecting ACA pilots on those aircraft. Furthermore, if the Airbus order were to expand to between 75 to 100 aircraft, all DAL furloughed pilots would come back, facilitating mid contract concessions and DAL would have a replacement aircraft for the aging 737-200 fleet operated at ACA rates for the next few years under the Song brand. Stranger things have happened, and the silence from DAL, ACA and DALPA on what the future of those DoJets seems odd. Perhaps something is going on behind the scenes. Stay tuned.![]()

46Driver said:I still don't think Delta is going to drop ACA simply because of the expense involved of taking over the Dorniers while losing the Pratt and Whitney engine contract at the same time. My bet is ACA continues to fly the Dorniers for Delta Connection for several more years to come.
House_X said:Several more years??? I hope not!!! You think the Do-jet is a red headed step child now...just wait till we get those Buses...I'll be living in the doghouse fighting for scaps with Fido.
We need to get in that CRJ and get a pay raise. Things can't keep going the way they are...ACA needs to focus on "I".
CHQ will most likely to get the new jets on bid w/ Delta. When you see those CHQ embrears in CVG it will be the beginning of the end.

I don't know man, I don't know about that one. Maybe...I haven't heard anything close to that in the ATL lounge. That would be interesting.....
Wanderer said:Try this one on.....I know this has been speculated by Comair:
Comair takes over the FRJs and the FRJ flying - the FRJs keep the Delta colors, and leave ACA for Comair.

I just don't think we have the cash right now to buy much of anything substantial. I think they are trying to make sure we negotiate our way out of the debt problem safely etc.....We could probably buy smaller things, like some used airplanes etc with our cash on hand, but nothing major. :

I just ran that through freetranslation.com with no luck. How 'bout in English next time.Rotorhead said:Maybe not to replace ACA but to supplement the fact that we have 4 airframes AOG for engines since just after Christmas with no ETA on replacements. 8 engines in the hole, no spares, no deliveries on the horizon. PW has dropped the ball, fallen down, and isn't getting up.
46Driver said:We have 4 airplanes down awaiting engines and Pratt and Whitney has been unable to keep up.
In the time span over which our 87 CRJ's have had 24 engines replaced, our 33 Dorniers have had 250 - that's correct 250 - engine changes.
Since the Pratt and Whitney engine contract does not go with the Dorniers if they are transferred to another carrier, you can see why I expect Delta and DALPA to maintain the status quo with ACA despite us getting the AirBus. (Does anybody know what the plural for AirBus is?)
