Stupid question.

With delta expanding their intl route, as previously stated, what is happening to the domestic flying... will the E170s we have for yall be expanding for delta? Or no clue and have to wait for delta rfp to come out.

Thx

Not to answer a question with a question, but what the hell is that in your avatar?

In reality Delta will probably drop the e-170s due to that fuel burn issue.

yeah, this is what's important. Delta should schedule planes so offline pilots can get to work.

W T F?

I was planning on taking a trip with a fellow pilot. I know Delta (at least last time I JS'ed on them) only took a single jumpseater if there was only a single jumpseat, so I was curious how many jumpseaters could be accomadated on the 767 (which is what we'd be one). I never claimed this was more important than anything.

Good news 767's vs 757's at Cal. Good move.

Just a little FYI ......CAL doesn't serve any of those markets with a 757 or 767........the markets that CAL serves are those that call for the most optimal use of the right aircraft .....be it a 757 or 767 or 777 or multiple frequencies using each

Great for Bucharest. The economy is hot, hot with a lot of business oppurtunities. Hopefully the increased activity will increase the wages which will make the QOL better for the mid-class status quo.Great place to visit, and a straight shot from JFK will make it easier to sell as a tourist attraction.

DL is also cutting it's flight from CDG to MAA (Chennai, India) per the end of october or november.
I really hope DL will improve the quality of it's service. Recently I flew business class from Chennai, a 10 1/2 hr flight to CDG: one little meal after t/o, another just before landing (both the size of an appitizer) and a one time (as opposed to continuous as advertised on the menu) snack service consisting of a bag of potato chips. Some of the food (chicken sandwich) had such a weird taste that few people ate it. Movies were turned off during the flight because almost everyone was sleeping, 4 out of the 12 audio channels worked. Pretty much domestic coach service on china plates with a steel fork and plastic knife.
Cute young Indian f/a's (Chennai based), who soon will be out of a job.

Last 2 domestic flights had parts of the audio system not working either. Is that where the bankruptcy is taking it's toll?

Sorry to hear about your bad Chennai flight. Hopefully the entertainment problems will be largely a thing of the past with the new digital systems they are installing on Boeings.

Can't comment on the food however, since I'm a lowly domestic pilot. I would imagine your meal from India was locally sourced...I can't imagine they brought meals all the way from CDG.

Hope you try us again in the future...

Rumor has it that we will announce tomorrow new service starting next Spring for the following city pairs:

JFK--Pisa, Italy (5 weekly flights 76ER)
JFK--Bucharest, Romania (4 weekly flights 76ER)
ATL--Seoul (777, 4 days a week)
ATL--Dubai (777 4 days a week)
ATL--Prague (5 days a week 76ER)
ATL--Vienna (5 days a week 76ER)

We shall see.......

Bye Bye--General Lee

Yeah! Let's go to Prague without luggage! Maybe Atlanta will find it and get it out there before I leave! Nobody in Europe and Asia is excited to experience Delta's brand of bad service.

No, actually most of our planes are getting new interiors and bathrooms, and a lot of our 757s are getting the Song arrangements taken out for first class seats in front with the live TVs (Dish Network). You were on a 767300ER, and it may have been worn out a bit, but the whole fleet will be getting a makeover. Air France will be putting an A340-300 on the route, and maybe you will like that better. We are using that 763ER to start more profitable service somewhere else, like Pisa or Vienna.

Again, what a wonderful response. I am glad you speak for EVERYONE in Asia and Europe. Our loads tend to disagree with you, and our revenue is way up for our INTL flights. Take care. Bye Bye now.
