just road coach on DAL from PHX-ATL-MXP (milan) and the seats were cramped as ever, the entertainment system self-rebooted no less than 6 times (once on the 757 to ATL, and 5 time on the 764 to MXP) and the F/A's except for one were not friendly, not young, and not attractive..

Their going after the international market, and they're going to have a rude awakening from the likes of BA, Lufty, and Air France..

New Paint, New Commercial, same ole Crappy service. Aint nuttin' gwoin ta change at Della cause they is too busy trying to underbid duh competition that they forget service.

Wrong my porcine friend. Great commercial. Emphasis is on making the travel experience much better on DL than the usual cattlecar trip, which comes across nicely.

Great commercial, but flying on Delta still sucks! The F/As still disappear after the beverage service, and they are still old bitter bags!

Great Commercial, but they NEED to get rid of the "ole hags" in the aft! Time to put on some PRIMO Meat in the back!!:p

What would the jb commercial be then?? A jail during a snow storm??

737

Nice one. Picture a Russian Gulag on an airplane complete with overflowing lavs running down the aisle. Funny how when 737 responds to someone else's slam he gets accused of having an inferiority complex.... The JB mafia must be feeling a little touchy about their stock price lately.

"We have new paint and Flight Attendant Uniforms."

Hmmmm... not the most creative ad campaign ever.

Are you dumb enough to believe that new paint and uniforms are the only changes Delta has made? Maybe just uneducated on all the changes. Take the time and read about it! This ad campaign looks quite a bit better than the "Order a large fries or a $1.00 chili and get an airtran ticket!" Now that was dumb!

Your so full of $hit! You did not ride on Delta, and the systems do not reboot 6 times! What a crock of $hit you sling!

Just rode on a DL 767 from Europe. It looked like it had a brand new interior (meaning the pax thought it was new airplane.)

In the 1980's Delta was the darling of Wall Street, sort of like SWA is now. Low debt and very conservative. Hopefully they will return to those times.

Except that Delta is still the same "cattlecar" trip........

All Legacy carriers are cattlecars not just Delta. I prefer Delta as the F/A's are great, the planes are clean, the board process goes smoothly. The rest of the Legacy's suck and yes I know for proof as I ride on all of them 8-10 times a month.

The ad campaign may be better than most out there currently in the industry... the reality is a stark contrast. As a paying pax, I now have a great high res. tv to watch and a low-fare ticket, a meal made up of pre-packaged snack foods (if we're lucky enough to be on the "meal" flight!) and my seat is about 1.5" BEHIND my knees when sitting upright. If we get stuck in a snow storm, we may or may not be able to contact ANYONE (much less someone from the actual airline) that can help us make it out of the airport and in the direction of our destination in the next week, and if we do, it will cost us a fortune. Oh yeah - Bertha, my FA, looks like she runs a jr. league ice hockey team and has zero qualms about putting any one of us in the "penalty box." A real dream come true. But hey, the ticket was only $70.... sign me up. Somewhere along the line, the ad campaign will fail if it has no positive experiences (reality) to back it up.

Did I mention that I don't non-rev (or REV travel, for that matter!) at all anymore if I can absolutely help it? It is a MISERABLE experience all the way around. I think there are a lot of people coming to that conclusion.

They are not all bitter old hags, (see pict. on left) give her 20 years though and maybe then she can spill a cup of joe in your lap to reinforce your opinions...........

I'm not asking for a big debate, but I disagree.
Where are you going to find low budget passengers for your low cost airline?
Macy's or at the McDonald's that is built into the Super Walmart?

(I'm not saying AT's campaign had class but it reached the right market group for sure)

The people (looking for cheap tickets) watching TV during the DAL commercial are yelling at the wife and kids to bring em another beer. They don't give a rats A$$ about how sophisticated the airline just got........ They just want to get from point a to b for as few $ as they can. Safety, pleasant FA's , interior, everything else comes second to most people. Oh sure they will be first to sound off If they are not treated like the CEO of their trailer park, but you kind of expect that from someone one there way to "star" on the Jerry Springer show. :puke:

LMAO - now that's the funniest (and most accurate) pax depiction I have heard in a while. Good on ya.

The problem with your theory is that this new Delta commercial is aq campaign. I dont thinkthis is a campaign, just a "were back, and we will be working to make you a Delta customer" Delta has not advertised for years and years. We are just getting started again!
