Let's see, I thought this administration was supposed to be "labor-friendly."

And here they taking the side of big business.

Sounds familiar.

Same whore. Different party name.

FAA...OMB...ALPA...SOS...LOL

Administrations change, the lobbyists stay the same.

I know exactly what I'm talking about. I don't understand what's so hard to understand about it? Is it really that hard to just do the right thing? What do those people in the back expect you to do? What do you expect of someone when your family is in the back? Did you tell them at the interview that you don't think saftey is #1 and for them to not expect you to do the right thing?

It was very clear that if it's legal, he fully expected pilots to be rested and ready to go.

I don't disagree with you. It Just seems clear from your posts MIL that you've never flown a schedule that puts you right at the edge of FARs and what your body is capable of.

If you've ever heard the story of someone who's been fired at one of these small carriers- it's not a fun career from that point on--- it can often lead to doing something else- there are companies out there where the level of
intimidation is huge- and whose pilots are mostly young and fighting for a career- there's a lot more to it. Calling in fatigued is not usually accepted at places where it really needs to be. And you often don't get paid, and don't make enough to take the hit.

That crash is what I'm talking about. A great reason to put safety #1 and do the right thing.

Thanks for the laugh!

Does the phrase "Beating a dead horse" come to mind. Trying to educate some one who has no clue what you are talking about and wants to stay that way is . . . . . . .See above.

Grow a pair and stop crying like a little girl! Do the right thing and don't worry about who's going to question you. If you don't like the way you're treated by your company then go find another job. Bottom line, don't be a PU$$Y! Oh, and yes safety is #1.

Yawn. Man am I tired.

"Thug" labor (SEIU), yes.

"Professional" labor (ALPA), no. . .unless you're a government union; teacher, firefighters, etc.

Besides, pilots may donate millions to the dude and his party through their unions, but they vote in large numbers for (R). Ignoring ALPA isn't exactly going to cost him jack squat, and he knows it. Kinda like ignoring certain minority groups, who vote en masse for (D) no matter what.

Well than we pilots should not expect any favorable treatment from the President. He might as well side with airline management since that is what the pilots votes do. If we vote for airline managements priorities, that is what he should give us.

Ignorance is bliss. And a guy who has never had a real job in this industry is very ignorant.

I kind of like a very simple minimum of 10 hours rest commencing 1 hour after block in and ending 1 hour prior to scheduled takeoff. If the duty day exceeds 12 hours, the minimum is 1 hour rest per previous day hour of duty. It's about the rest period, not the work period.

How about the multiple body clock reversals that can occur within a 4 day trip. Then it is about the duty period. There needs to be some way to compensate for going from night sleeps to day sleeps.

My favorite is the 3 hour duty period then day sleep to a red eye to a day sleep to a PM yo sleep to an AM to a day sleep to a red eye.

FOL (8:00am - 03:30pn T-Th office guys) say we love these trips.
