Chief Pilot was in recurrent class last week in IAH and mentioned MCO as well as LAX- expected it to be announced officially around the end of January (2009)

It is the end of January and I am still waiting?

It was mentioned on the EWR CPO Voice Mail and in the latest Flight Ops mailing.

Apparently "they" wanted to continue to research and discuss with ALPA but were not gonna be able to finalize anything prior to the most recent system bid.

So, IOW, we will see...

Well you heard wrong. Inflight had nothing to do with these basses. They were going to be pilot bases, not FA bases.

Wow Sonny - you through the merger garbage around like it's old underwear. I've clicked on two seperate threads within 5 minutes and you've mentioned "merger rumors" in both. There has been no merger talk at CAL - I just got back from requal at the schoolhouse two weeks ago. Give it a rest already.

What we all need is strong union scope, ratio'ing (don't let the companies bash one group against the other, like Tilton's trying now) and level headed (not entitlement, express puke, better than everyone, I hate you, you hate me) nonsense. Something is going to happen. Who knows when or what, but we will all definitely be LAST to know.
