No surprises in MCO...

Most junior captain is #411
FO #1294

GSO

Junior Captain #1214 (33 upgrades out of 62 slots)
FO #1770

The GSO CPT bids surprised me a bit.. If the most junior captain is 1294, what's going to happen in JFK.. Is the most junior captain there going to be a new hire?

Can that many people want to stay in CVG, or are they waiting for the displacement bid so they can get the move paid for by Fred?

The new bases are all 50 seat RJs.

Fred mentioned in the crew room a month or so ago that he was looking into getting the Dojets for intra Florida stuff. He said that Delta would give them to us, but he wasn't sure we could operate them any better than ACA did.

No ... all new base awards are for the 40/50 seat CRJ.

I should have bid GSO CA. I would have had my weekends off.

You folks at CMR are awfully lucky to have a guy like FB around.

Of course, to me, he seems to be writing checks his a$$ can't cash. Last time I checked, Delta ran the show. Maybe you folks ought to tell FB this.

Thanks for the info Einstein!!

Do you think Fred opens his mouth without GGs permission? I tend to think his marching orders have already been given and he's making them happen.

Actually, yes I do think he opens his mouth out of turn. And I think that was what I was sarcastically implying, Einstein.

After reading these boards for a while, and the ALPA boards for many years, there is not enough money in this entire world that could entice me to be a part of this DAL/DCI dysfunctional family.

Not that at this stage in my career that's even an issue, but if I were young and up & coming I'd avoid this company like the plague. I'd leave aviation before I got mixed up in this mess. Life is way too short.

Al,

I'm going to wait on JFK. I figure if the lines turn out to be good there will be somebody on reserve who got junior manned who will want to go back to CVG and I can trade, and be senior enough to hold same day commutables. But I never want to be the first to do anything around here!

Jeckel, roughly, where would you have fallen on the GSO list?

Why would Comair want the 328s. They have no maintenace, training, or operational knowledge of them. I know I and many others have a vested interest in Skyway getting some or all of the planes, but why at this juncture take on another new airframe with a checkered past, especially if you guys have the 170s coming. Just curious is someone is blowing smoke or not.

Thanks and to all those who got the bases they wanted congrats, and to all those waiting for some movement congrats.

PS Hey comair guys watch out there is a crazy guy on the loose over there who I know only as FeeFong

ROFL...

D, you so crazy!!!

No Dojets at Comair according to Fred today.

To answer IFlyForFood, I just got back from the lounge meeting with Joe Kolshak and FB. Fred's reply when queried about the 328's is that he hopes to never see them at Comair and that they would most likely go to Skyway for the same reasons as already speculated here (MX and training already setup, agreements with parts suppliers, etc). Now obviously mother Delta will decide where they go, but Fred was pretty emphatic that did not want them at all.

D 328's will not be at Comair. ACA just finished dumping the aircraft on Delta this week, and as soon as the Mx mess is figured out, Fred said its bout 90% certain Skyway will get them.

Feifong Wong!!! :D

Why wouldn't you operate them any better then ACA.

I'll have to find that ID somewhere...I think I still have it. Otherwise when I go up to Toronto, I'll just get another one.

Yes. The most junior CA slot awarded is in GSO. Sen #1214, DOH 12/01. The most junior CVG CA is Sen #1120, DOH 01/01. He upgraded almost two years ago and it has gone much more senior since.
