I don't get who they think they are talking to? Its flica, only pilots and FAs use it. And I'd hope there is not one of them who would buy into this crap.

I'm gonna have an aneurysm

If management keeps putting out this junk I'm gonna have an aneurysm. They can't be serious! They want to pay us less than Chihuahua, less than Mesa, less than the D-Con average, less than Skywest, and less than the Comair concessionary proposal. They need to understand that I won't be willing to even begin discussions about pay rates until the company realizes, at a minimum, it's current SkyWest plus the 1.2 percent SkyWest was willing to pay them (and which the SkyWest guys properly found unconscionable) plus whatever will bring us even with the SkyWest profit-sharing, plus something more to compensate for the three years the management idiots have been dragging their feet.

And the have the gonads to say that our pilot negotiators were unprepared for the talks in Orlando?!!?

I'll take consolation in the belief that even these management dorks know their proposal isn't going anywhere, and that they are just trying to "lower" expectations. Not my expectations.

Fights on.

When are we taking this d@mn strike vote?!?!?!? Has anybody heard from an ALPA rep what we are doing?

I guess they don't know that the CNC and MEC gave daily updates on the Orlando meetings. Idiots! They don't know we have the real story.

The company is making this out to be a great offer and we should be happy and sign off on it. The fact is, it was the opener that they should have put on the table 3 yrs ago. All that about the CNC being unprepared is a lie.

We need to keep letting managment know how unhappy we are with the proposal and their tactics. Stay informed, talk to the P2P guy and gals they are kept up to date. If you can't find them just talk to your fellow pilots and they probably know something. Managment wants us to only be informed of their side and believe they are trying.

It is obvious to me that managment is under pressure to get the contract done. From where I'm not sure, but it's probably a combination of SKW, the Mediator, and the pilots.

The last quarter financial numbers for the first full quarter that ASA/SKW have been combined are due out the last week in Jan or early Feb. Also ASA has to publish numbers/profits in late Feb. or early Mar. and both of those are going to be impressive for the company. That will give us great leverage and managment doesn't want that.

The mediator is also tired of this or else he wouldn't have set the Mar 3rd deadline. He wants to settle this. For those that don't know why he hasn't released us yet. There were too many open sections because the company wasn't even negotiating up until now. Now that the company has said they want to get this done he is gonna hold their feet to the fire.

I hope the CNC and MEC are able to keep the daily updates from the table for the next sessions. It was great for the pilot group and believe me the company doesn't like it. It sounds corny but, an informed pilot group is a strong pilot group.

For those that want a strike vote now, that trump card needs to be played at the best possible moment and it will be.

Just some things to think about. I'll get off my saopbox now.

I am asking on myasa and hope others do as well, with our company carring more people than ever BEFORE making MORE money than ever before, having the biggest Delta hub feeder, why we can not have at least cost of living raise every year 2.-3.% we are working on a 8 year contract, with no raises since 2002?? We all have taken cuts in life GAS prices, healthcare, FOOD, ETC. VOTING YES for strike and have to have retro ...
