You can't blame low pay on the people willing to accept it. You must blame the management for not having the ethics to pay a decent wage.

Ethecs don't matter.

Supply and demand. When kids are lining up at your door willing to do it for $300 a week, why pay a penny more.

I am not saying you shouldn't do it. I am just saying that things will never change.

If you want to get your 1000 turbine making 60 grand a year flying old Merlins and Lears PM and I'll give you a phone number.

Most just have SJS though and will line up at the GO.

Things'll never change.

Now, if you hear anything...let us know.
It's good for you anyway, that way you'll move up.

The only way I move up is if people lose their medical or croak. Newhires don't help me none.

not necessarily the majors. With this industry changing virtually overnight, any and all options are open. Majors, corporate, fractional, who knows. Like others have said, 121 is something different than part 91 flight instructing, a step up or step down depending on how you look at it. Am I happy with new hire pay? Not really. Did I pass up the opportunity to work at other "lesser" quality regionals, you betcha. There's a reason why.

That's turbine 121 PIC time everybody seems to want today. If you are coming to ASA for that, expect to wait about 7 years or more before you can upgrade

At the very least.

No need to wait 7 years for a new, better job...just a couple thousand hours in a shiny jet...that's all I need.

No, you're not!
Look around you...there's worst!

Go buy a ticket and ride ASA from the ATL to Birmingham and report back to me.

:puke:ASA

Good luck with that buddy. If it was that easy, lots of us would be gone by now.

Most of our jets are not shiny either. Anybody seen the 830-850 range lately? Yuck.

I saw 821 in AUS the other day, it looked pretty good.

Of course, everything about ASA looks better now that I no longer work there......
