I was reading an article in today's Indianapolis Star and they stated that with ATA's upcoming massive scale-back in IND, that the unused gates would possibly be up for grabs. Some say it's possible NWA might use some in order to ease some of the pressure schedule-wise. In the article, they mentioned Air Tran, stating that they would most likely use at least one of the gates when they begin service here in the spring and wound MAYBE expand later on.

Perhaps the most interesting statement was, and I quote; "Other carriers are interested in servicing Indianapolis, though airport officials have declined to name them."

Does anyone maybe have an 'inside tip' on who the potential suitors might be? I've heard the rumor that JetBlue may come here, but that's been going around for a while now. Whoever it may be, I'm sure it will be interesting to see what happens.

Fly safely.

Its Lowecur's magical midwest E-190 fortress Jetblue is about to unleash on the free world. They get the entire D concourse for 50 buddy passes and four box seats to the Colts next fall.

Don't tell him I told you;)

It's a great city, and one that will undoubtably be on B6s list when the 190 arrives. Jetblue will probably only add 2 320 cities this year, and my guess' would be MIA and PDX. Look for IND around the fall of 06 or early 07. :)

Better now than later.......

Perhaps they would come in a bit sooner in an effort to claim a stake in IND and take advantage of the open gates and opportunities.
