It came out at 1700 today. It is really bad news for all of our commuters as it is a true cost cutting effort to save on hotels in NY and RDU. 5 MX bases are never a good thing and considering 95% of our PHL CA's commute this will be awful..

Now for the people who are in driving distance it is a good deal..

is there any new flying to go with the bases, or is it purely to cut costs where there are lots of RONs?

good luck to you guys

The cost savings from shifting LGA RON expenses from the company (via hotels) to crewmembers (by making it a base) is nearly one million dollars.

RDU's savings will be equal if not exceeding that amount, but that's due to sheer number of RON crews there.

Save the hotel, save the world....

Yeah, but you fruitcakes haven't even mentioned the other base that's going to open before these two???
Or are you just assuming that won't open now until after RDU and LGA?

ahh....which base is that?

This is no surprise to me at all... This management team has had a 4 + year "red carpet ride" and opening two new bases has a total disrespect of people that have been here for 3 years. Shame on AWAC.

I cannot wait to leave this place just keeps getting worse.
