Have any of you sent Emails to Mr. Kelly and expressed your concerns or disgust over this deal? If not, this is just misdirected hostility. The AT pilots aren't responsible for this deal and at some point we are going to have to deal with it like adults. I don't think not wearing the lanyards is going to have any effect other then giving off a childish message. " NO! I'm not wearing my lanyard, waaaahhhhh."

Was not meant to be a shot at you, just explaining what is going on with the other side of the house. We know the AT guys aren't responsible and (most reasonable people) fully understand that.

Mr. Kelly and VanD are fully briefed on our opinions regarding the SLI, I can guarantee that. Gary is also aware of how the Morris Air integration/lawsuits worked out.

Not wearing the laniards is NOT directed at the Citrus pilots. It is, in fact, directed at our own management...just part of our unofficial communication process. It would send a much louder statement if we actually did wear them as a group (as in, "Ok, whatever you guys do is fine with us. We're just happy to be here.") That is just not us as a group, these days.

Your question has no bearing on the matter. Longevity is not being merged or integrated here. Job security and benefits aren't either. Neither are W-2's or culture (Thank God). The only thing being integrated is seniority, hence, the name SLI.

Sorry, I am very quite and normally just an observer,however......That was the most assinine statement I have ever heard.

Unfortunately, we are a pretty big byproduct of your protest. You are protesting the AT pilots coming into SWA, so in a way it is directed at us in an indirect way. No way around it. If I'm wrong explain to me why you aren't wearing your lanyard? What message are you trying to send to management?

Really? You're that sensitive?

The main reason I don't wear one is that I don't own one. Plus, I am heterosexual and not a big fan of having a rope around my neck in an airplane...........

Do you wear a tie?

That this is a really bad idea.

I'm sure that will give them good reason to reconsider this $14B decision. Sounds like the largest act of protest since the Vietnam war.

"...but the pilots aren't wearing the lanyards!"

Agreed, I don't like wearing a giant necklace either.

I'm not that sensitive, but I don't understand how this protest can be constructive for anyone. It's a done deal. Now we all need to learn how to make this work.
