Maybe they're doing single-engine ILS now. I've always found our full-flaps-at-the-last-second SE ILS procedure to be rather stupid.

I agree, if your SE, the last thing you want to do at 200' is throw in a configuration change. I'd just land it with flaps 25 or whatever the flap setting was for the approach.

They aren't interested in stabilized approaches?

Ofcourse they are. But that was the profile that we were given in the sim at the time. It has probably changed by now, but we had to go by what they told us to do.

Steel! Hey, we need to sit down and talk about the goal of your hair at some point.

I think the text book circle approach in the sim would be the one you did at skidway! Theres nothin like the fogbank gettin that GPWS to say everything that it can! Heres whats cool about that type of an approach....you sort of take life for granted here and there, but after that, it makes you realize how happy you should be to be alive. Sort of a positive motivation in life if I might say so myself! Know what I mean dawg?

Passed the HR interview. Was told I failed the sim ride. Was informed I could try again in six months. Sent in the required paperwork for the second try. Received a letter stating that there would not be a second chance. First try occured last fall. Not automatic guys. Good luck to all.
