You guys do know this is a press release written by the union communications team-

Thank you for this valuable information. Due to your insight it's possible to determine that "Source: International Brotherhood of Teamsters" means the Teamsters had something to do with it.

You might find this difficult to believe but "pilots" aren't the target audience of the press releases, the company's or the pilot's....I know it's tough to understand that...

Union Press releases are the only way this stuff will 'make the news'. Buffett's Monopoly game got more coverage than the union's picketing in Omaha.

Honestly, I cant figure out why unions continue to cling to these outdated methods. How effective are they? How many people even pay attention to picketers (or billboards) these days?

".....negotiations that have been ongoing since October 2001, and were suspended by the National Mediation Board earlier this week....."

Why were talks suspended?

Why were talks suspended?

Here's the info that the company distributed on the decision:

Today, the NMB notified us verbally that the remaining two bargaining sessions allotted to this matter would be held in abeyance until the company and the union mutually notify the NMB that a full understanding of the company’s costs and financial performance has been achieved by the union and/or its advisors. We expect to receive written communication of this decision from the NMB in the next couple of days.
