Just wondering if anyone knows who's in charge of pilot recruitment on the NJI side of things. I'm sending in my resume shortly and would prefer a personal address in my cover letter, rather than 'To Whom it May Concern.'

Also, I know guys on the NJA side, would a recommendation from them help at NJI?

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to bust your bubble amigo: Off-the-street hiring is pretty much done. There is a pool of a few guys already offered positions and reportedly only one more interview group. After November of next year, all NJI positions will be filled by NJA pilots that meet the two year and 5000 hour minimums, bid the position and receive the bid award. If you don't have an inside recommendation for the last interview group, the only way to get to a Gulfstream at NJI now is to apply to NJA and wait your turn. :( Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the reply, but I didn't destroy my vast hopes of becoming a GV pilot. I was interested in NJI mainly because of home basing, and that it would only be a 55% paycut as opposed to 65%-70% if I went to a major or NJA.

I wasn't aware of the demand for these positions...nothing on the NJI website that indicates they are not hiring from the outside.

Sorry, I'm sure you will be missed!

I thought he was laughing because you apparently know nothing about NJI or NJA.

And why would you take a 55% pay cut anyway?

There has been a major change regarding NJI staffing because of a recent change in the NJA Collective Bargaining Agreement. The company website hasn't caught up yet. Search a few of the threads and it should fill in some of the blanks.

Sorry, You miss understood me. My Bad. I was going to make a slap at the union. No harm intended to yourself. My apologies.........

Yeah, blame the "Union". It's an easy scapegoat...

I blame the Union every time I look at my paycheck... every time a pilot has the option of being represented rather than being forced to defend themselves from the wolves, I blame the evil Union for my 100% company paid health benefits.

I blame the Union for eliminating Non-Union work being flown in the United States for NetJets (at least 100% domestic and 85% international).

Damn Union!!
