Working @ NJI

Dude,
Hold on there. Spreading lies about an organization that you don't work for has no place in any discussion.

There has never been a case here for somebody getting "the call" for following the rules. No "rug dance" there!!

Lets see: follow the rules and protect the company or don't and protect the company? How does that help the company in any shape or form? It puts them at jeapordy and they know it. If you don't follow the rules I have seen how HXD deals with it!!

I know many of the guys and gals here tow the line without fear of reprisal.

You can refuse anything here except the rules and everyone that has refused something even on personal grounds is still here.

You can even yell at an OWNER if needed and they back you up if your right.

The kind of claims that you have leveled against so many serves no interest
and that attitude is harmful to the NJA cause.

Be part of the solution....Not the problem

Best of Luck

I don't seem to understand why many people think that Berkshire Hathaway money is NetJets money. Just because NJ is owned by BH doesn't mean that anytime the company needs money that BH should just hand it over.

"Uncle Warren" bought the company and invested more money than all of would know what to do with. NJ does have to pay that money back and are expecting yearly returns from us. (I'm not sure of the numbers)

When BH purchased and invested in NJ's they asked that it return 7%/yr back to them, on par with the other BH companies. BTW this has yet to be realized in any year to date. Last year was the closest, I think it came in at 4% or something close to that.

Really??? Can you show that to us in writing? Maybe you can pull that off your dispatch program and start sending it to us with the releases. "I THINK"

Yes, it was in writing. Do you have information to the contrary?

I know a CEO of a berkshire hathaway purchased company and I know exactly how his deal was structured...I also doubt seriously if it was structured any differently than EJA's ... Want to know what kind of "dividend" he is required to pay BRK? ZERO..... Warren instructed him to expand and not to worry about paying him a dime!!!! All capitol is reinvested toward expansion and that is what he has done....Guess what? Warren is very happy:)

I for one have never heard, seen written any official Berkshire Hathaway document that states NETJETS is required to pay a return on any investment to the parent company....If anyone can produce such a document we would love to see it....

I bought my house and never receive any cashflow retun on it. however the value of it has increased more than the sum of all mortgate payments.

Capital Appreciation. If NJ was worth 725M in 1998 what is it worth now with 6 times as many pilots and many times as many airplanes and owners?

Buffet made his Billions on Capital Appreciation not Cashflow.

My value to this company has nothing to do with the cashflow profits... It has to do with the revenues generated by my flying.

The information came directly from NetJets CEO. From that I can only assume not all BH deals are not structured the same.

he has his requirements... we have ours.

Why isn't there concern over pilot salaries which Dwarf NJA salaries at some of the Money Losing Sister companys?

This cashflow profit argument is irrelevant. NJE salaries are high and according to The Chairman loses " a lot" of money. Does NJI make or lose money?

I can't speak inteligently as to the profitibility of NJI or NJE other than it is a fact NJE looses money, I don't even have a guess for NJI. Regardless, the company and Union will be negotiating your new contract this summer on NJA financial data only so it will be irrelevent. Whether or not the company, in the past, used profits to finance NJE INSTEAD of increasing base pay for pilots is a matter of speculation and would be impossible to prove without judging their motives.
