Talked to a Chief Pilot today and he said they have over 10,000 applications on file now. He also said internal rec.s carry quite a bit of weight, they are taking delivery of an airplane every other week, and they would like to hire about 400 a year for the upcoming years.

They would like to but I doubt it will happen. Look for 220-240 to be added this year. FSI just doesn't really have the capacity for more.

It will get worse before it gets better. Until we get the new campus built in CMH FSI availability will continue to decrease for new hires as we add more recurrents that must go through.
 
Hired and put into the "system" I can believe 400. I was told 451 in recurrent a couple months ago. Actually hired, trained, and online I would say maybe 300. I could be wrong.
 
Network, are there any people you know currently flying for Netjets? See if you can contact these individuals and have them write you a letter of recomendation. I know of one person that worked at Aloha who is currently flying at Netjets.

All I can say is, there are never any guarantees! With that being said, 3 internal letters of recommendation will help tremendously.
 
From what I've heard, a rec brings +2 points. Don't know if there's a limit. DUI apparently gives you -6... Not sure what other factors are or will give.
Tip of the day - get as many recs as possible!!!

Maybe off topic but it is nonetheless Netjets info.

Here are some things that a prospective new hire needs to know about our company.

This is not an aviation job. This is a CUSTOMER SERVICE job that also requires the ability to operate an aircraft. We are the most expensive option for air travel. We charge our customers (both owners and Marquis Card) a premium to fly THEIR aircraft. Our passengers are our owners, our bosses, and our ultimate responsibility. We have to take care of every owner like they are the only one.

Your job will entail many things. Some of which include:

Humping bags
Walking the dog
Coffee, ice, and papers.
Serving coffee, Cokes, catering.
Cleaning the cabin to include wiping down the tables, seats, windows, walls, lav doors, sink, and galley.
Vacuuming the entire aircraft.
Cleaning the cup holders after junior turned it into his own Coke pond.
Restocking the galley.
Pushing "plumber stuff" down the lav.
Restocking the lav.
Updating Jepp charts.
Cleaning gum off the seats, tables, and seat belts after junior got tired of playing with the cup holders.
Setting up the DVD system and handing out headphones.
Getting crayons and paper for the little ones.
Calling the FBO to have the owners car pulled around.
Inspecting catering to make sure that EVERY SINGLE detail is correct.
In the event of a downed aircraft acting as the liaison between the company and upset passengers about the time and status of the recovery aircraft and assisting the passengers with ANY need until their recover aircraft arrives. Then assisting the new crew in loading the pax bags and catering to get them on their way.

Our owners are the reason for our very existence. They are not an inconvenience or an afterthought to "our" flight operations. Without them our company dies. A Netjets pilot has to been willing day in and day out to provide the highest level of customer service to our owners. And to do it with a smile and with a positive attitude. This company will empower you with the tools and resources to do just that. But it has to begin and end with the crews. We are the front line and the face of Netjets.

If you are capable and willing to do this then please put your app in and come on board. We need your help in keeping this company the best in fractional aviation.

So true. But that is like ALOT of corporate gigs, especially if you fly for a private owner. You really have to do everything, even wash and clean the airplane. Catering is sometimes a no win situation, but you are paid a good salary to pamper the boss and whomever is on-board.

I am glad NetJets raised the bar with pay, as it will attract alot of quality pilots with great attitudes about their job. Warren Buffett is no dummy. Maybe the other Frax will do the same.

Exactly. 91 or 135 experience is a plus. However we also have some great guys and gals that came from the 121 world. Regardless of experience some folks get it and some don't. NJA does a pretty good job of picking up on who would be a good fit and who wouldn't.

But you are correct. We do work for private owners. We just have a lot of them.
